UML @ Tag der Forschung

The annual Tag der Forschung “Research Day” at TU Darmstadt's Faculty of Architecture exhibits current research projects, encompassing solutions of complex functional-spatial, aesthetic, technical, social, ecological and economic problems, from the perspective of architecture. The event also facilitates networking among students, researchers and professors, and features lectures and workshops by experts.

This year, the 8th Tag der Forschung was held on 1 December with the theme “Architecture as a storage of knowledge”. A newly- formed Forum for Young Researchers in Architecture and Urban Research (FORUM) was presented. As part of the postdoctoral mentoring network, UML members contributed to the FORUM and networked with doctoral candidates and young researchers.

In conjunction with the event was the awarding of the Heinz Stillger Prize which honors outstanding student research work. Among the nominees was Valentin Braun, whose research on the planning of public urban spaces in Prishtina, Kosovo, was awarded an honorable mention. The research was done under the supervision of Dr. Čamprag.
