On April 21, 2021, Anna-Maria Meister will give a lecture on the subject „Of Volunteers, Vereine and Housewives: the Makers of Modern German Architecture“ as part of the „gta invites“ lecture series at ETH Zurich. This talk investigates how institutions, unnamed volunteers and (seeming) non-experts constructed what was later called a “New Architecture” in early 20th century Germany.
