Let’s Talk Shit
Discussion round of the Department of Architectural Theory and Science on Thursday evening, 27.01.2022, 7:00 pm

Jocelyn Froimovich's seminar “The Architecture of Shit” addresses the design of excreta-from plumbing to toilets-as one of the most standardized areas of our discipline.
Public toilets, for example, rarely reveal the urban, social, and economic parameters at stake: water use, urban sanitation, waste disposal, maintenance, universal accessibility, gender politics-if anything, public toilets are designed to hide these issues.
What if we looked at excreta in a different way? Could a different public view of poop lead to a new understanding of our cities? To explore these questions, we've invited special guests: Let's talk SHIT!
