ATW Stegreif WS 2022: Table Dancing!

Was wir haben: eine Reihe institutioneller, standardisierter Tische, einen leeren Seminarraum, und eine Vorstellung von gemeinsamem lehren, lernen und forschen. Wie bringen wir das zusammen? Der Raum will Tische, aber sie sollen einladen – nicht demotivieren, sie sollen nutzbar sein, aber nicht nur nach konventionellen Vorstellungen, sie sollen stehen, aber nicht lähmen. Wir wollen neues, aber nicht neugekauftes, also: Lasst die Tische tanzen!
Aufgabe
Ein Konzept für die Möblierung des Seminarraums 315 im Fachgebiet ATW. Gefragt ist ein räumliches Konzept mit Tischen und Stühlen für ca. 15-25 Personen. Dabei wollen wir im und mit Bestand bauen, auch im Innenraum. Gestellt werden 6 Tische im Lager, die bemalt, bearbeitet, verändert und ge- oder verbraucht werden dürfen. Es gibt 8 Arne Jacobsen Stühle schwarz, die unverändert bleiben sollen, aber als Grundausstattung mitgedacht werden können. Es soll möglichst wenig neu gekauft werden müssen, und wenn, dann zumindest in Teilen aus Gebrauchtbörsen wie Rotor Deconstruction, dem TU Aussonderungsprogramm oder dem FB 15 Keller (in Absprache mit dem Dekanat). Teile wie Tischplatten, Gestelle, oder auch ganze Stühle können natürlich im Konzept als „neukauf“ ergänzend eingeplant werden, allerdings möglichst sparsam.
Abgabeleistung
Mindestens zwei szenische/perspektivische Darstellungen von Lernsituationen mit der neu(gedacht)en Ausstattung, eine Objekt- bzw. Teileliste, ein Budget, und ein Grundriss; zusätzliche Formate und Medien nach Bedarf. Bei Verwendung der vorhandenen Tischmodelle ein „Prototyp“ bzw. umgewandelter Tisch 1:1.

Ausgabe ist am 24.10. um 15h bei ATW, Abgabe am 7.11. (Pläne digital); in der Woche steht der Raum 315 großteils zum (Be)Arbeiten der Prototypen zur Verfügung.
What we have: a set of institutional, standardized tables, an empty seminar room, and a notion of teaching, learning, and researching together. How do we bring this together? The room wants tables, but they should invite – not demotivate, they should be usable, but not only according to conventional ideas, they should be stable, but not paralyzed. We want something new, yet not newly bought, hence: Let the tables dance!
The task
A concept for the furnishing of seminar room 315 in the ATW institute. We need a spatial concept with tables and chairs for about 15-25 people. We want to build with existing inventory. There are 6 tables in stock, which may be painted, worked on, changed and (ab)used. There are 8 Arne Jacobsen chairs black, which should remain unchanged, but can be thought as basic equipment. As little as possible should have to be bought as new, and if so, then at least partially from circular platforms such as Rotor Deconstruction, the TU Aussonderungsprogramm or the FB 15 basement (in consultation with the dean's office). Parts such as table tops, frames, or even entire chairs can of course supplement the concept as „new purchases“, but as sparingly as possible.
Deliverables
At least two scenic/perspective representations of learning situations with the new (thought of) equipment, a list of objects or parts, a budget, and a floor plan; additional formats and media as needed. If using existing table models, a 1:1 „prototype“ or converted table.
Dates
Presentation on 24. October at 3pm at ATW, submission on 7 November (plans digitally); during the first week the room 315 will be largely available for working on the prototypes.
