Political education
Workshop on 1.12.2023
2023/11/29
In preparation for the 2024 yearbook of the Guernica Gesellschaft e.V., which will deal with political educational construction, the Guernica Gesellschaft e.V. is organizing a workshop on the topic in cooperation with the Department of Architectural Theory and Science (ATW) at the TU Darmstadt, which will present initial impulses for the yearbook in the form of project sketches.

The unifying theme of the diverse contributions is the political dimension of educational buildings, especially in the 20th century. Architectural, urban planning and design-historical topics are discussed on the basis of case studies. Educational construction as a central building task of the knowledge society of the 20th century will be analyzed in its social, societal and political dimensions.
