Urban Inclusion through Universal Design Approaches

Dr. Raheja has over 10 years of teaching and research experience in universal design, inclusive urban systems, human behaviour in space and visual communication. He received the Mphasis Universal Design Award in 2010, conferred by NCPEDP, India and serves as an Expert Member in various national committees in Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. Dr. Raheja has co authored the Universal Design India Principles, copyrighted and released in 2011. He is a key consultant to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India for developing accessibility plans for projects including Prime Minister’s Office, New Delhi Airport, and New Delhi Railway Station.

During his stay at our faculty, we seek to further our collaboration on smart frameworks and user-centred design tools to make public places more inclusive.
