New Kids On the Woog – Urban Design Concepts for an Active and Green Primary School
In this studio, we are seeking for urban design concepts that show how the school can make the most of its neighbourhood and vice versa. You will develop a) a mobility concept that supports car free commuting for students, b) open spaces, which connects the school facilities to local green spaces, sports- and cultural facilities, and c) school outdoor spaces, which promote active recreation and inclusion of students with specific needs in combination to a mass model for the new school building, which defines a suitable typology, distribution and positioning of the building elements and their organisation.
