2025/02/13
A total of 415 students at TU Darmstadt have been awarded a Deutschlandstipendium for the 2024/2025 funding period – a new record. For one year, these students will receive 300 euros per month. The official award ceremony took place yesterday at the Otto-Berndt-Halle.
Among the scholarship recipients are also 25 students from the Department of Architecture. We congratulate Maas Rinaldo Fabio, Bulakh Viktoriia, Nekhviadovich Valeriya, Wolf Vincent Francisco, Jaiteh Serra, Ben Ali Alexander, Gorgonoska Anastasija Ekaterina, Callies Sara, Gunkel Paula Maria, Mengel Pascal Andre, Özyurt Berra, Peter Tobias, Rikhter Veronika, Lavrinenko Ksenija, Elistratow Celina, Peinelt David, Wagner Tim, Weber Nicolle, Krüger Jana, Lechthaler Maria Elena, Watzke Hannah Merle, Fiechter Daniel Eric, Xie Ying, Heintze Ole Felix, Wolf Valentin Maximilian.
The number of scholarships is due to TU Darmstadt's strong network of sponsors: A total of 120 sponsors, including companies, foundations, associations, and private individuals, contributed. Together, they cover half of the funding amount, while the federal government matches the same sum.
“This year, we were able to secure 415 scholarships – a record, and I am very pleased about that,” said TU President Tanja Brühl. “This record is proof of the trust that our sponsors, especially companies but also foundations, associations, and private individuals, place in the value of studying at TU Darmstadt and in our students.”
The Deutschlandstipendium is a lived example of collaboration with society and business. It creates a win-win situation for all involved: Students receive both financial and moral support – they can build relationships for their future careers. TU Darmstadt gains partners from the business and social sectors. The sponsors can present themselves as attractive employers by participating in the program: Many sponsors also offer moral support, advice, mentoring, professional exchange, and – in short – opportunities for networking.
