The gallery of the Department of Visual Arts (Prof. Katharina Immekus) regularly shows exhibitions with works of students as well as external guests.

The Department of Architecture at the TU Darmstadt organizes a Research Day every year at the beginning of December. The program usually includes lectures and workshops by renowned experts as well as presentations on research projects and doctoral theses currently underway at the department.
The annual BE-AM | Built Environment – Additive Manufacturing symposium brings together experts from practice, research and industry to explore the current state and future potential of additive manufacturing for construction and architecture.
The AESOP Young Academics Network is a loosely structured branch of AESOP, which encourages the active participation and exchange of academic work. From PhD students to Post-docs and those starting out in academic positions, the YA Network provides a platform through which the academic leaders of tomorrow can share ideas in an open and inclusive environment, challenging and supporting one another in the attainment of superior academic output. Mobility hubs can play a pivotal role in providing equal access for people with specific mobility needs. The workshop will look into the design of intermodal mobility hubs (public or private places where passengers and cargo can change between different modes oftransportation). Hubs are evolving to address current changes towards digitalization, sharing economies and multimodal lifestyles. June 2017
The international symposium "The Future of Sustainable Architecture" takes place within the framework of the second research stage of the project CUBITY – "Energy Plus and Modular Future Student Living".

The department accompanies the exhibition with a versatile teaching and research package consisting of stegreifen, a seminar, a workshop, research modules, lectures and a panel discussion.
