The department has numerous well-equipped workshops and facilities that support students and staff of the department in the realisation of projects.

Model making workshop

The model-making workshop supports students, lecturers and the department's facilities. The available machinery allows differentiated woodworking and partly also metalworking. A working area is open to students around the clock.

3D printing pool

The 3D printing pool currently has eight filament printers for one-material printing, three FDM printers for two-material printing and two SLA 3D resin printers. The 3D printing pool is maintained by the department's model-making workshop.

The computer pool is the IT department of the department. It operates the service pool with small and large format printers, is responsible for the IT hardware and software structures and rents out equipment and much more.

The Lichtwiese Printing Centre is a service department of TU Darmstadt. It produces its own printed matter for students, staff, institutes and facilities of the TU Darmstadt.
