Fitore Delija recognised for her Master's thesis
Fitore Delija, a graduate of the Department of Architecture at TU Darmstadt, was awarded the Architecture Prize of German Business 2026 on 9 June 2026. Her independent Master's thesis “Geschichte als Haus | Haus als Geschichte” (History as House | House as History), completed at the Institute for Architectural Design and Building Typologies under the supervision of Prof. Elke Reichel, convinced the jury from among ten nominated finalists.

Department research projects on concrete recycling, water-sensitive urban planning and ecological timber construction recognised
The Association of Friends of TU Darmstadt has presented the Award for Sustainability and Interdisciplinarity at its spring reception on 20 May 2026. The Department of Architecture performed exceptionally well: three of the four prize-winning projects were developed by researchers from the Department.

Award for Dr.-Ing. Lanqing Gu for Outstanding Academic Achievement
How do colorfully designed sidewalks affect our well-being in urban spaces? This is the question Dr.-Ing. Lanqing Gu pursued in her dissertation at the Institute for Urban Design and Planning – and she has now been recognized for it with the 2026 Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement (Dissertation) by the Vereinigung von Freunden der Technischen Universität zu Darmstadt e.V. The award was presented on 20 May 2026 at the Friends of TU Darmstadt Spring Festival in the garden of the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg-Haus.
